J.D. Power & Associates recently presented UnitedHealthcare of Texas with its 2015 Member Health Plan Study Award. The prestigious, national recognition endorses UHC’s commitment to providing positive member experience.
UHC’s Texas division beat more than 130 health care plans across the country, and its satisfaction score tied for the highest among Texas health plans. The J.D. Power study is based on the responses of more than 30,000 member questionnaires in 18 market-based regions.
Tom Quirk, CEO, UHC of Texas, accepted the award during UHC’s 2015 APEX Small Business Luncheon. The luncheon, entitled “Why Your Smartphone Could Soon Be Your Stethoscope,” featured an in-depth discussion on the emerging trend of virtual healthcare visits. UHC’s Karen Scott, a virtual visit practice lead, explained how members will soon be able to receive healthcare services—including diagnoses and prescriptions—from a new network of virtual visit provider groups, increasing access and reducing costs.
UHC of Texas provides its members programs enabling them to live healthier lives while striving to provide the highest levels of customer experience.
