UnitedHealthcare of North Texas returned as a presenting sponsor for the 2017 Flowserve Cowboys Kickoff Luncheon at AT&T Stadium on August 30.
The annual event celebrates the beginning of the NFL season. During the luncheon, numerous awards are presented, including the Ed Block Courage Award presented by UnitedHealthcare.
This year’s recipient was Jim Maurer, the Cowboys’ head athletic trainer. Maurer was recognized by his peers for his constant professionalism in his commitment to providing players with the highest quality care.
All proceeds from the Flowserve Cowboys Kickoff Luncheon and silent auction benefit the Courage House at Happy Hill Farms and the North Central Texas Academy. In light of the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey in South Texas, Happy Hill Farms announced they will be using the funds raised to help students, families and alumni affected by the disaster.
