UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas played a leading role at the 2016 Special Olympics Texas Fall Classic opening ceremony. The games were held in College Station, Texas, Oct. 13-15.

Plan CEO Don Langer served as opening ceremony emcee. Chief operating officer Jillian Hamblin, vice president of marketing Angel Encinas and vice president of network management and vendor oversight Mandie Eichenlaub announced teams as they entered the stadium.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas is a 2016 statewide sponsor of Special Olympics Texas, an organization that shares a similar mission.

As a statewide sponsor, UnitedHealthcare employees had the opportunity to volunteer at the Fall Classic, assisting athletes in competition and providing valuable health information to families.

UnitedHealthcare Hosts Community Baby Shower in Houston

On September 16, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas hosted a baby shower for Houston-area expectant moms, new mothers and their families.

Upwards of 60 people were showered with refreshments, raffles, gift bags and prizes at Neighborhood Centers-Baker Ripley.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas also introduced the audience to Baby Blocks, its free online wellness-incentive program to help parents manage doctor visits and other baby care during pregnancy and the first two years of a child’s life.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Brings Mission to Life at Special Olympics Texas Summer Games

As a statewide sponsor, UnitedHealthcare employees had the opportunity to volunteer at the 47th annual Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) Summer Games at The University of Texas at Arlington.

UnitedHealthcare employees assisted athletes in competition and provided valuable health information to families.
